Hospital Polices As of 2024

Thank you for trusting your pet’s medical care to GrandView Animal Care Center.

Appointment Commitment:

When you schedule an appointment with our office we set aside enough time to provide you with the highest quality of care. Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment please contact our office as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. This provides us the opportunity to schedule other patients who may be waiting for an appointment. As a courtesy we make reminder call for appointments along with email and text reminders. There is a $25 fee for any missed appointments and same day cancelations.

Vaccines for Life Program (No Longer offered):

For all of our clients currently enrolled into the vaccines for life program please note you are required to get your pet into our office for their yearly annual exam with 12 months of the previous annual exam. We do offer a 30 day grace period in regards to this program pending our schedule. Please note we send out email, text and post card reminders for all of our patients regardless of the vaccine program or not. These reminders are to remind you that your pet is coming due for their annual exam and /or vaccines. It will be your responsibility to contact our office to get this appointment scheduled within the above time frame. If you surpass the 13 month time frame your pet will be discontinued from the vaccine for life program. We have every owner sign a vaccine’s for life contract at the time of signing up for the program.

Retractable leashes:

Effective at your next visit with us, we will NO LONGER be allowing your pet into our facility on a retractable leash. There are many dangers to having your dog on a retractable leash in general, as well as issues with pets on leash within a confined area such as our lobby.

 – Dogs on retractable leashes are not under control

 – The cord itself can be a hazard to you, other people OR other people’s pets.

 – The locks on retractable leashes ALMOST ALWAYS fail.

Our goal…as always… is to keep you and your pet’s safe while you visit us. If you do not own a traditional leash, please make our staff aware prior to entering the building with your pet and a slip-lead will be provided for you to borrow.

Emailed Picture’s (Tele-health visit):

We understand all owners have busy schedules. So We are now offering existing clients who are up to date with their yearly annual exams the option of emailing in picture for our Veterinarian to review. Please be aware if you are email pictures for Dr. Lisa to review there will be a associated tele-health visit charge for her to review these pictures (There will be separate charges for an medications that Dr. Lisa dispenses based on tele-health visit). Are hopes with this the tele-health option is to lessen the stress of trying to work around your busy schedule to get your furry friend in for an appointment. Please also be aware even if Dr. Lisa completes her tele-health visit and your pet doesn’t improve we will then recommend an in person full exam.

We ALL look forward to seeing you and continue to keep you and your pet’s best interest in mind. THANK YOU – Dr. Lisa and Staff
